The work the Chamber does starts in the great people who volunteer.  

Ambassador Committee (Chair - Andrew Faulkner)

Will connect with current members; reach out to welcome new members and work to grow the membership by identifying business to recruit. Coordinate ribbon cuttings, groundbreaking ceremonies, and other events to recruit or welcome new members and businesses to Lawson. Committee will be responsible for mailing out annual membership stickers and information as renewals are paid.

Events Committee (Chair – Jordan Coleman)

Actively participates in the creation, strategy, and implementation of Chamber events such as Coffee Connection, Chamber Chowdowns and Happy Hours. The committee evaluates the frequency and value of Chamber events and works to connect members with hosting and sponsorship opportunities.

Legislative Committee (Chair – OPEN)

Communicates with local and state elected officials to advocate for businesses. Provide a forum and structure for cooperative educational and informational programs to keep members and the community informed on local, state and federal issues. Host candidate Meet and Greet events as needed for any elected positions in the area.

Annual Awards Dinner & Silent Auction (Chair – Amanda McQuerrey)

Plans the event theme, program, sponsorships, decorations, food, auction and more for the largest Lawson Chamber event of the year. This event celebrates the accomplishments of the past year and shares the strategic initiatives for the coming year. This event is typically held in March or April.

Recognition Committee (Co-Chairs – Cori McPheeters & Sarah Moore)

Responsible for soliciting nominations and selecting award recipients for our Annual Dinner. Seeks to recognize members and volunteers who contribute beyond the usual efforts.  Reviews and makes recommendations about individuals who are qualified and willing to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors. Candidates should be presented at April Board Meeting for pre-approval then go before the entire membership body for a vote.  Board positions run from June 1^st to May 31^st.
